Cookies & Local Storage
Effective: May 2026
The short version
This site doesn't use advertising cookies, tracking cookies, or analytics cookies. The only thing stored in your browser is your theme preference, and that never leaves your device.
What we store and why
Theme preference (localStorage)
When you toggle between light and dark mode, your choice is saved to
localStorage under the key theme. This is a plain string — either "light" or "dark". It never leaves your browser and is not transmitted to any server.
If you clear your browser storage or visit in a private/incognito window, the site falls back to your operating system's preferred color scheme.
Cloudflare Turnstile (session, bot detection only)
The contact form uses Cloudflare Turnstile to distinguish human visitors from bots. Turnstile may set a short-lived session cookie or use browser storage internally during the challenge interaction. Cloudflare's documentation states that Turnstile does not create persistent advertising profiles or track you across sites. See Cloudflare's privacy policy for details.
No other storage
No first-party cookies. No third-party analytics (no Google Analytics, no Meta Pixel, no Mixpanel). No session cookies. No fingerprinting scripts.
How to control or clear browser storage
You can clear localStorage and cookies at any time through your browser's developer
tools or privacy settings. On most browsers:
- Chrome / Edge: Settings → Privacy and security → Clear browsing data
- Firefox: Settings → Privacy & Security → Cookies and Site Data → Clear Data
- Safari: Preferences → Privacy → Manage Website Data
Clearing storage on this site has no functional consequences beyond resetting your theme preference to match your OS setting.
Changes to this page
If our storage practices change, we'll update the effective date above. Because this site doesn't use email lists for policy updates, check back here directly if you're curious.
